Andy Ellwood is the founder and CEO of Stretch, a free app that helps families compare grocery prices across nearby stores and shop smarter, no subscription required. Stretch tackles one of the most universal challenges facing households today: the rising cost and complexity of feeding a family. By giving shoppers real-time visibility into prices and smarter choices, Andy is building a platform designed to reduce financial stress and return power to everyday consumers.

Andy is a serial entrepreneur behind companies acquired by Facebook and Google, and he spent time as an executive coach in New York before returning to build Stretch. His philosophy, Make Room For Many, shapes how he leads: technology should expand access and opportunity, not gatekeep it.

Stretch launched free and nationwide over the 2025 holidays and now runs on pricing and inventory data across 28,000 stores and 25 retailers. The team is growing and actively raising a new round to keep building toward a bigger vision: a retail system where consumer value and industry success grow together.

Andy grew up in Texas as the oldest of four, homeschooled, and learned to budget by helping his mom plan the family's monthly grocery trip. He's a passionate home chef and storyteller, and became a first-time father in late 2025, right as Stretch was taking shape. He lives in New York City with his wife, daughter, and rescue dog.
